The 2024 Houyi Cabernet Sauvignon strikes the exact balance that we hope for when we set out to produce wine. Intensely aromatic, it opens with notes of dark fruit: blackberry, plum, and dark cherry. Stay a while and layers of anise, licorice, and tobacco emerge. A crushed-stone minerality runs through this wine, lending it freshness and dimension.
On the palate, this wine is generous but never weighed down. “Light on its feet,” as we like to say. Fresh acidity and well-integrated oak imbue the wine a sense of cohesion and symmetry. Our aim is always to evoke a sense of delight when you have a glass of Plinth in hand, and the 2024 Houyi Cabernet unquestionably does just that.
